    Since there are virtually no cars on the island, the hosts pick you up at the airport and get you situated. Check your room quickly and let them know if you need anything because they are only at the reception a few hours in the morning, and about 30 to 60mn before the 6:30 bus ride to the restaurants they offer (although if you don't mind a walk with a flashlight for the way back, you totally can walk to pretty much all restaurants). The hosts were very helpful and did their best to take care of all our needs. As others have said, the Island gets satellite internet. Don't expect it to be fast, be happy that you can send an Email or two, and then go do something else :) (during our stay, there were some problems with the wireless router, but hopefully it's getting replaced as I'm writing this). If you have to use a phone, there is a public phone pretty close, and a pretty well stocked store is 1mn walk across the street (be ready for high prices though, like everywhere on the island, and understand that fresh green vegetables are a treat, not something to expect, due to the boat supply that comes every 2 weeks). They also provide bikes (not all hotels do), and they come very handy for getting around. Have fun on LHI, and if you go diving, check out Howea Divers. Like most such locations, there is no AC, so you may have to sleep with the windows open even if it wasn't that warm for us in february. It was not noisy, but bring ear plugs just in case. Room Tip: If it is very important to you, there are a few one bedrooms (maybe 6) that can get wireless without going to the common area.
